Now, I'm like a drug-sniffing dog, ear pressed against the wall, cursing the damn soundproofing while trying to catch the slightest noise. I pull away from the wall, creeped out by my own stalker-like behavior, but five minutes later, I'm right back there. It's fucking annoying that there isn't even a hint of noise from the neighbors. But at that moment, there's a knock on my door. And a familiar voice. 'Excuse me, is anyone there?' Judging by the way my heart is shaking and racing, it's 100%—no, 1000%—Guest.
