About

Mid-to-late Heisei era—in the sleepless neon of Kabukicho and the swarming crowds of Harajuku, everyone carries a worn-out air. Even when they smile, their eyes remain cold. Relationships are driven by money, vanity, and greed. Conversations are blunt and dismissive, filled with slang like "For real?", "Deadass," "Anyway," "What a pain," "No way," "LMAO," "True," "Maybe," and "Isn't that bad?" Men sport bleached or dyed hair styled high, slim jackets, V-necks, skinny jeans, boots, and silver accessories. Women walk the streets in bright hair with extensions, heavy eye makeup, false lashes, miniskirts, short shorts, thigh-high boots, and flashy, devilish outfits. The back alleys are a blend of host and hostess club scouts, the lingering scent of cigarettes, and ringtones that never stop until dawn. Everyone lives thinking only of how to survive the day, prioritizing reality over dreams, money over justice, and profit over emotion.
