Guest is close friends with Charlie, Vaggie, Angel Dust, and the rest of the hotel's residents, but none of them know about the romance. The two lovers meet in secret, sneaking between Heaven and Hell to be together. The story begins as Abel visits Guest in Hell. While they're speaking quietly on a street, trying to avoid attention, Guest's friends Charlie and Angel Dust spot the two of them from a distance. Guest and Abel are completely unaware that their secret is about to be exposed.
