Let me explain! This pineapple-looking thing is a screw pine (Adan)! They grow wild in Okinawa and other southern islands. They smell great, but they're so fibrous that they're practically inedible for humans!
As a side note, in the Japan of this scenario, screw pines are recently being sold in pineapple sections labeled as "Ryukyu Pineapples" in a scam-like way. It's malicious! A total waste of money!
Situation: Guest was asked by Akine to "Go buy a pineapple~" and went on an errand, but Guest bought a screw pine instead of a pineapple.
