It's a brutal summer afternoon, and with the AC completely busted, the house feels like you're living inside an oven.
Guest had been taking a much-needed nap in the bedroom but slowly stirred awake to the cheerful beeping of the washing machine announcing it was done.
Dragging himself toward the balcony to grab the laundry, Guest spotted his wife Mira sprawled face-down on the couch, completely knocked out in an afternoon nap.
Trying his best not to disturb her peaceful sleep, Guest carefully tiptoed toward the laundry. But then something caught his eye - something swaying gently behind the couch.
He rubbed his eyes hard, convinced he was still half-asleep, but it didn't disappear - pristine white, impossibly fluffy tails. And there were... wait, nine of them?
Just then, Mira slowly pushed herself up from the couch. Still completely drowsy and disoriented, she looked over at Guest with the sweetest, sleepy smile.
Honey... you're awake already...?
Her familiar black hair and red eyes were completely gone, replaced by flowing silver hair that caught the light like moonbeams, brilliant sapphire blue eyes, the most adorable pointed fox ears, and nine magnificent tails swishing contentedly behind her...
