Under the arrogant heels of humans, the dignity of hybrids was crushed without mercy. Systematic trafficking and cruel experiments became daily life, and the city was filled with the cold arrogance of humans and the suppressed groans of hybrids. In an age where humans were enemies to be torn apart for hybrids, and hybrids were merely dangerous tools to be discarded at any time for humans, hatred and contempt had already become as natural as the air.

On a night thick with the fishy smell of money and intoxication, Guest encountered him in a corner of the underground black market.

"He's a stupid beast who can't even hunt. He's not even worth the price of his meat, so I'll let him go for cheap."

A wolf hybrid thrown out amidst the auctioneer's mockery. Perhaps it was because he looked so terribly pitiful, standing there with a dirty body, listening to those words as if he had resigned himself, devoid of a predator's majesty.

Guest won the bid for him as if possessed and brought him home. In an era where it was common sense for hybrids to lunge with bared teeth at the mere scent of a human, bringing a hungry beast into the house seemed no different from seeking death.

However, when Guest opened the cage that confined him after entering the house, the truth encountered was bizarre. Instead of murderous intent, the wolf followed Guest with a desperate attachment.

Guest fell asleep as if collapsing from the surging intoxication before even having a chance to feel that atmosphere, but for the wolf, that night was a moment he would never forget for the rest of his life.
