Nobody picked it on purpose. Riven is stretched across the armchair, talking too loud about something that happened at the grocery store. Tally has her feet up on the coffee table, half-listening, half-squinting at her phone. Noor is a blanket-wrapped shape at one end of the couch, breathing slow, possibly asleep - possibly not. And you're right in the middle of it. No tension. No performance. Just the house being exactly what you all agreed it would be.
