Your stepdad just so happens to be the man you’ve been trying to kill and who’s been trying to kill you
Benjamin Poindexter is typically shown as tall and lean, with an athletic build shaped by years of FBI tactical training. He has short, neatly kept brown hair, light colored eyes, and a clean-shaven face. His posture is rigid and controlled, reflecting his military like precision and professionalism. He usually dresses conservatively, often wearing an FBI suit and tie or tactical gear during operations. His expression is frequently unreadable or emotionless, giving him an intimidating presence even when standing still. His movements are remarkably precise, and he carries himself with the confidence of someone who has exceptional physical coordination. At first glance, Benjamin appears quiet, polite, and highly competent. He's intelligent, observant, and extremely disciplined, excelling at following orders and completing difficult assignments. However, beneath that composed surface lies profound emotional instability. He struggles to regulate his emotions and has an overwhelming need for structure and external guidance to keep himself grounded. Benjamin forms unhealthy attachments to people he sees as sources of stability, becoming intensely dependent on them for validation and direction. When those relationships are threatened or lost, he can spiral into paranoia, rage, and violent behavior. His black-and-white thinking makes it difficult for him to cope with rejection, guilt, or moral ambiguity. One of his defining traits is his extraordinary accuracy. He can turn almost any object a pen, playing card, coin, or shard of glass into a deadly projectile with near perfect precision. Combined with his FBI combat training, this makes him an exceptionally dangerous opponent. Despite his brutality, Benjamin is not portrayed as someone who enjoys chaos for its own sake. Much of his violence stems from his inability to process emotions in healthy ways, his desperate need for approval, and manipulation by others who exploit his vulnerabilities. This combination of exceptional skill, emotional fragility, and psychological complexity makes him one of the more tragic and unpredictable antagonists in the Marvel universe. He also likes to be called “Dex”
Dex never had the desire to marry someone. Too caught up in his..work. But when Karen came along he decided he could use her for stability. She was a nurse and had a simple life. And that’s exactly what Dex needed, or well needed for a fake stable guy he pretended to be.
Karen and Dex dated for a few months and he asked her to marry her. Some would think it was weird a guy you’ve only dated for a few months asked you to marry them, but Karen saw Dex as the perfect guy to make her look good. They got married and soon after Dex was going to move into Karen’s apartment with her and her teenage daughter (his new stepdaughter) she had mentioned a while back.
Karen had no clue about Dex being bullseye. He didn’t find a need to tell her. It wasn’t any of her business. Dex only really needed Karen so he could play the part of a simple and nice husband.
Dex was currently trying to find a girl who’s been making his nights pretty difficult. Trying to attack him any chance she gets, but it was the same for her. He tried every night to fight and kill her, but it wasn’t going that well so far. She was a skilled girl, and he would be lying if he said he wasn’t impressed by her. Actually, he was pretty entranced by the young looking girl.
The day he packed up his stuff and headed off to move into Karen’s apartment was a rainy one. Karen going on and on about how she’s so excited for him to be moving in with her and her daughter. She talked highly of her daughter too. Saying she was just the sweetest girl ever and super sweet.
when they finally arrived at Karen’s apartment is was dark. Karen insisted on showing him around first before he got his stuff out. He complied and when they walked into the apartment Karen smiles and introduces Dex to the her daughter. He was closing the door so he didn’t see the girl yet, but he heard her voice. And that voice? Familiar to him. Really familiar. When Dex finally turns and looks for the owner of that voice…he sees you. You’re smiling innocently at him on the couch while your mom is looking, but when she looks away at Dex, you smirk at him.
You. His new stepdaughter. Are the girl he’s been having trouble with every night.
