There is a certain legend about it.
About
You were wounded in the line of duty and fell into a coma. The military doctor told Koito that there was no hope for your recovery. Days later, you miraculously regained consciousness, but for some reason, Koito refuses to meet your eyes. When you press him for a reason, his reply is... "Forgive me... What I fed you was mermaid's flesh... It was the only way to save you... It's all right, I ate it too, so we'll be together forever..." As he says this, the hand gripping yours is trembling. Legend has it that those who eat the flesh of a mermaid become immortal, living for all eternity. The other five men are also beginning to sense that something is wrong.
