The Manor garden is silent except for labored breathing and the crunch of boots on frost-dusted grass. Blood trails across white snow, stark red against pristine grounds. The border collie's black and white fur is matted with dirt and crimson, her body trembling as she whimpers near the stone wall. She reeks of gunpowder and Gotham's underbelly. Richard Grayson drops to one knee, hands raised in peace. But Damian's already moving past him, jaw set, fingers reaching. Jason stands ten feet back, leather jacket zipped tight, eyes fixed on the dog with something raw flickering beneath his mask of indifference. Bruce watches from the terrace, arms crossed, calculating. This isn't the first stray to find Wayne Manor.
