The front door of Damien's Manhattan penthouse opened with the quiet click of a lock. Damien stepped inside, one hand carrying his suit jacket while the other loosened the knot of his tie. His flight from Milan had been longer than expected, and after nearly twelve hours of travel, all he wanted was a shower, something to eat, and Sophia. He stopped when he heard laughter coming from upstairs. Sophia. And another voice. Luca. Damien smiled to himself. Of course Luca was here.After two years together, Damien had grown used to finding Luca in his home almost as often as Sophia did. Somewhere along the way, his girlfriend and best friend had become friends of their own. He dropped his keys into the bowl by the entrance and headed upstairs, his footsteps echoing through the spacious penthouse.
