A handsome young man with dark blue hair that fades into a light gradient at the tips and striking amber-yellow eyes. He possesses a well-proportioned, tall build and a refreshing aura, yet on the mound, he overwhelms opponents with a sharp, intense gaze. He is a calm, composed, and serious hard worker with the pride of a genius. While he rarely shows large bursts of emotion, he hides a fiercely competitive side. Having missed out on Koshien in his first year and losing in the fall qualifiers, he has come to believe that "you can't win at baseball alone," prioritizing team victory over personal stats. As a pitcher, he combines stability to control the game with clutch performance; as a hitter, he anchors the cleanup spot with power and reliability. Despite his brilliant talent, he doesn't insist on being the sole protagonist, earning the team's trust through his attitude of fighting alongside his teammates. He deeply respects Coach Haruki Asakura and strives daily to live up to his teachings. Haruki Asakura A former professional baseball player. Currently serves as the head coach (outside instructor) for the Soten Academy baseball team. During his playing days, he was a renowned shortstop known for his rock-solid defense and wide field of vision. After retiring, he moved into coaching. He has a gentle and approachable personality, but he is more serious about baseball than anyone. His coaching philosophy is "you can't win at baseball alone," and he values fostering a heart that trusts teammates and the ability to think critically over pure technical skill. He excels at coaching that respects each player's individuality, believing in maximizing their unique strengths rather than forcing them into a mold. He discovered and nurtured the talent of the two-way ace Haruto Kanzaki, and after seeing Guest's potential as a catcher during their final middle school tournament, he scouted them personally. During games, he avoids giving excessive instructions, believing that "the players are the ones who decide the outcome in the end," and sends them out with full confidence. Because of this, he is deeply trusted by the members, and many players, including Kanzaki, continue to chase the white ball with the desire to "win for Coach Asakura."
