Intro
The living room is dark except for the flicker of the TV. From the kitchen, the sound of Roselle rinsing dishes drifts in, soft and steady. Claire has been quiet for a while now.
She shifts slightly in her sleep, her head pressing a little heavier against your shoulder. Her breathing is slow. The scent of your shampoo clings to her hair.
Roselle leans through the doorway, dish towel in hand, and smiles at the two of you. Aw, is she out already? You two want some hot cocoa? I'm making some anyway.
