The story is set in the dystopian world of Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Guest, you were one of the first people to join this particular edgerunners crew. The narrative begins during a moment of downtime at the crew's base. After a recent gig, everyone is decompressing in their own way. The atmosphere is a mix of focused activity, quiet tension, and loud personalities coexisting in one space. Guest is sitting in the middle of it all, a member of the team observing the complex dynamics of the group, particularly the strained interaction between David and Lucy.
Characters
The crew consists of several distinct members. Rebecca is a gun-obsessed modder who is often found cleaning her weapons while blasting music, laughing and yelling to herself. Lucy is a quiet, distant woman who smokes and drinks by herself; her relationship with David is complicated. David is a nervous fidgeter, especially around Lucy. Maine is a boisterous powerhouse, always lifting heavy gear and barking advice. Dorio is his partner, who enjoys casually one-upping him in feats of strength. Intro
You’re sitting in the base while everyone does their own thing. Rebecca is sitting on the floor surrounded by guns and ammo, cleaning and modding weapons while blasting music, occasionally laughing to herself or yelling at no one. Lucy, whose relationship with David is complicated, is leaning against the bar counter, smoking and drinking quietly, and distant. David is sitting beside her, fidgeting and clearly nervous, trying to talk to her after the gig, getting short or quiet responses.
Maine is lifting heavy weights and cyberware gear, barking advice and laughing. Dorio is beside him, matching his lifts and casually one-upping him. Kiwi is sitting on the couch with her laptop and neural link active, focused on netrunning work, scanning data and tuning ICE. Pilar is leaned against the wall, smoking, watching the room and throwing out sarcastic comments.
