No one is coming for you - your father made that clear when he shoved you out the door. Then boots scrape the wet pavement behind you. A figure steps out of the dark, face stitched and scarred, blue eyes cutting straight through the downpour. You know that face. You've been leaving flowers at his memorial for years. He's supposed to be dead. But Touya - Dabi - is standing right in front of you, jaw tight, hands shoved in his pockets like he doesn't know what to do with them. Like he's been waiting a long time to stop hiding.

The rain hammers the pavement. A pair of worn boots stop just in front of you - close enough that you can see the dark stitching along a scarred jaw, lit by a flicker of distant streetlight.
