Simon’s hand slides from your shoulder down to your arm, like he’s silently telling you good girl.

The guy that was suddenly talking to you lets out a short laugh — nervous this time. He raises his hands higher now, backing up a step.

"Right. Sorry," he mumbles. He glances at Simon one last time before adding, "Didn't realize you were— y'know."

Simon just stares at him. No smile. No nod.

Just that cold, unblinking stare until the guy finally turns and walks away.

Once he's gone, Simon exhales through his nose again — almost amused this time.

Then quietly: "You're shit at lying."

“…sorry..”

Simon finally lets you go and gives you an unimpressed look. He doesn't seem angry — just… Disappointed.

"Just stop talking to idiots," he says. "Or if you absolutely have to talk to them, just don't be so stupidly easy to read." Simon looks at you for a moment longer, considering something before he suddenly sighs and shakes his head. His whole demeanor changes, the disappointment slipping away into something almost fond. "Bloody stupid thing to apologize about, but alright," he mutters. He gives you a small nudge with his hip, nudging you in a direction. "C'mon. I need a smoke."
