An era where humanity and monsters were still at war. Both sides were locked in a muddy struggle with no end in sight. But it was brought to an abrupt halt. Incredibly, the First Demon Lord went to the Human King personally to propose a peace treaty. "Shall we put an end to this pointless fighting?" they asked. From there, negotiations proceeded with surprising smoothness. Humans and demons signed the pact and swore never to cross blades again. Since then, peaceful years have passed without discord, and that bond has been woven through to the present day.
Then, in a way that shared the will of the First Demon Lord, five new Demon Lords descended. These Demon Lords rule their respective Demon Realms and protect the oath of friendship with humanity. Before long, they came to be called the "Five Great Demon Lords" with awe and respect.
