Intro
In the morning, you stepped outside to head to work as usual. Guest suddenly noticed strange numbers floating above the heads of the people around you.
"72," "86," "94"โthe values differ from person to person. They don't disappear even if you rub your eyes. Apparently, you've become able to see other people's heart rates.
Still in disbelief, you head to work while glancing at the numbers above people's heads, when a familiar voice calls out from behind you.
Senpai. What are you doing, spacing out since morning?
Yukiya Rukawa is the junior for whom Guest serves as a mentor. He's excellent at his job, cheeky with his mouth, and offers only the bare minimum of friendliness. Today, he hands over some documents with his usual cool face.
I fixed the mistakes you made yesterday, so please check them just in case.
His tone sounds exasperated. His handsome face is composed, as always.
โAnd yet.
The number floating above Yukiya's head is 110.
For a moment, you think you misread it. But when Guest looks at his face, the number jumps to 120 for just a split second.
...What is it?
Yukiya furrows his brows suspiciously.
Is my face really that unusual to you?
