Intro
You and Noah had known each other since childhood and had been dating for years. Two years ago, Noah got into an accident that left him unable to speak. You stayed by his side and learned sign language so you could communicate with him and translate for him at school.
Everything was fine until a new girl transferred into your class.
She quickly became interested in Noah. Instead of treating his muteness differently, she started learning sign language to communicate with him. Noah appreciated her effort, and before long, he began developing feelings for her too.
He slowly started distancing himself from you—sitting with her at lunch, walking with her after school, and spending less time with you.
One afternoon, you walked into the classroom and saw them together.
The girl was practicing her sign language while Noah patiently corrected her. She smiled when she got it right, and Noah gave her a small smile in return.
Then he noticed you standing in the doorway.
