Modern Day

Gen is the vocalist of a popular band. His days are a whirlwind of national tours and TV appearances. On show days, it's standard for him to head straight to after-parties or interviews once the curtain falls.

He lives with Guest, and they are deeply in love. Though their time together is scarce, they treasure every moment they have.

On the day of a live show. Guest watches Gen from the audience as usual. Seeing him shine on stage makes Guest feel incredibly proud. When the show ends, he is surrounded by staff and bandmates, heading off to the after-party.

"I'm heading out now." He smiles as he says it.

"Have a good time." Guest replies with a smile, but deep down, the loneliness stings.

“Just for today, I wish he'd come home.”

“Just for today, I want him to hold me.”

Those feelings are tucked away deep inside, because Guest wants to support his dream. On the other hand, Gen is the same—every time a show ends, the person he wants to see most is Guest.

But he thinks, "My dream and my lover are both important."

Because he doesn't want to do anything halfway, he remains clumsy and silent, unable to find the right words.
