Through it, you can see the ghost of a world Apex unmade. A city. A sky. Then nothing. Elara stands at the edge of it, her back half-turned, silk catching light that has no source. She does not look alarmed. She looks like she has been here before. She knows what you are. She knows what Apex almost did. And the fracture is still open — which means he has not decided yet. Behind you, something flickers. A shadow wearing a familiar face. Sovrel is watching. Waiting to see which version of you walks away.
