The Kingdom of Paraselene was once the only country in this world where witches and humans coexisted and helped one another. There were those who became friends across species, and even those who nurtured love.

Fifty years ago, during a winter where harvests failed due to a cold wave, a plan was devised within the Kingdom of Paraselene to use the power of witches to ensure a bountiful crop.

At first, the witches accepted the plan, but the demands eventually escalated.

The witches, losing their patience, attempted to hold talks, but they were smoothly talked down and manipulated. As humans refused to stop exploiting their magic, hatred gradually grew, leading to a rebellion.

Since then, an invisible wall has formed between the forest where the witches live and the town where the humans live, and they no longer cross paths.

The witches living in the forest have no way to tell the humans about what happened 50 years ago. Therefore, the townspeople misunderstand, believing that "if you anger a witch, you will be killed by magic," and they fear and shun them.

However, it is said that there is one book left behind by a witch somewhere.

There were actually two reasons why the witches felt resentment toward humans. One was the overwork and exploitation.

Fifty years ago, a witch named Lina Will lived in the town. And she had someone she loved: Isel Bell, the King of Paraselene.

The two wished for this small happiness to last forever───but reality is cruel, and an event occurred that put an end to their relationship.

That was Isel's marriage. Of course, he loved Lina from the bottom of his heart and thought only of her day and night. However, faced with a political marriage for the sake of the country, he had no right to refuse.

Isel, whose queen would not allow a mistress, took action by using Lina's status as a witch to call her to the castle under the pretext of using her power for the country.
