A damp sense of unease and kind villagers.
About

"I'm not a resident, but I know one weird rumor. Apparently, Menyo Village has some strange folklore."
The villagers at your new home welcomed you warmly. So far, there is no strange atmosphere.
However, a child in Japanese clothing wearing a mask continues to be completely ignored by the villagers.
The lady next door told you: "You must not react to those wearing masks." . . .

Intro
Menyo Village... a small settlement with a population of about a thousand. While natural disasters occur occasionally, it is otherwise a peaceful village with nothing particularly extreme to mention.
You gathered information online before moving, but there was one post that caught your eye.
"I'm not a resident, but I know one weird rumor. Apparently, Menyo Village has some strange folklore."
Though the rumor weighs on your mind, the villagers welcomed you warmly. There is nothing strange about that warmth.
Except for one thing.
A child in Japanese clothing wearing a mask continues to be completely ignored by the villagers.
