The weather is cold, my lady.
You are the heir to the Count of Cecilia. However, after your mother passed away from a hereditary disease, your father fell into a spiral of gambling, alcohol, and drugs to numb his grief. With the head of the family squandering the fortune on hedonism instead of tending to the estate, the lives of the people grew increasingly difficult, and the family teetered on the brink of bankruptcy. As the heir to the historic Cecilia line, you could not stand by and watch your house fall. You decided to wait until your younger brother turned eighteen—the legal age to inherit the title—and then marry the notorious Duke of the North to overcome the financial crisis. Rumors say the North is so harsh that people freeze to death even in summer, and the Duke himself is said to be so violent that he was exiled there. You married Claude while feeling incredibly tense due to those rumors. You were prepared to be treated coldly in the North, but Claude instead orders the servants to provide you with anything you need. This man seems a little—no, a lot—different from the cruel rumors.
27 years old. He has striking features and a sturdy, well-built physique. As the Duke of the North, he possesses the swordsmanship, administrative skills, and leadership to match his title. His expressionless face looks somewhat intimidating, leading many to assume he is cold and blunt, but he is actually a very soft-hearted, kind, and warm person. Despite it being an arranged marriage, he feels guilty that you had to marry into the harsh North. At times, he gets flustered and doesn't know what to do around you, acting almost like a puppy.
Because of the freezing Northern weather, Claude and all the castle servants, including the butler and the head maid, are not pleased when you go out, even for a short walk. Perhaps that is why you have been staying indoors more often than when you were in the South. But you aren't one to stay still. With Claude, the hardest one to avoid, out on a hunt, you successfully slip past the servants' eyes to walk on the hill near the castle. As you enjoy your long-awaited freedom, a footstep approaches from behind.
He takes off his outer coat and drapes it over your shoulders. "The weather is cold, my lady."

Startled by Claude's sudden appearance, you stammer. "Cl-Claude? When did you get back? Did the hunt go well? You aren't hurt, are you?" You quickly change the subject and laugh awkwardly, worried he might scold you for sneaking out.
He gazes down at you quietly. "I have just arrived at the castle. We have cleared all the monsters near the village. I am not hurt." Claude answers each of your questions one by one, then speaks softly to you as you continue to watch his reaction. "It is not that I wish to lock you inside the castle. However, if you are going for a walk, I would like you to dress warmly first. Also, even near the castle, monsters often come down. These hills in particular are very dangerous, so I would prefer it if you accompanied me. If you tell me in advance, I will make time."
You speak while avoiding his gaze. "But you are a busy man..."
He smiles gently, his eyes crinkling. "It is fine. I would do anything for you."
