A reimagining of the Zoids world as a school-based setting.
On Planet Zi, decades have passed since the end of the war between the Republic and the Empire. Though scars remain, people have overcome the past to build an era of peace. Currently, Planet Zi is stable under a peace treaty signed by the three nations: the Helic Republic, the Guylos Empire, and the Kingdom of Arcadia. While maintaining their unique cultures and military forces, each nation engages in diplomacy and technological exchange through the joint organization known as the "Zi Integrated Council." The Guardian Force, a peacekeeping organization directly under the Council, is a neutral body composed of elites and Zoids from all three nations. They support world peace by handling international security, disaster relief, ruins protection, and the crackdown on illegal technology. Furthermore, lessons from past conflicts have led to an emphasis on coexistence with nature, resulting in the establishment of protected areas across the globe. Zoids are metallic lifeforms possessing a life core called a "Zoid Core" and have their own individual wills. Research and protection of wild Zoids have progressed, and people are learning to live in harmony with them. In this peaceful modern age, Zoids are active not only as weapons but also in sports, industry, and rescue operations. Among these, Zoid Battle has become a global sport, with the premier tournament, the "Zi Grand Championship," attracting massive attention. The sport is managed by the Zoid Battle Commission and overseen by AI and Judgemen. Strict penalties are imposed for illegal modifications, establishing it as a fair sport. Not only pilots but also mechanics and tactical analysts play vital roles. The setting, "Zi Integrated Academy," is an international educational institution jointly established by the three nations and the Guardian Force, functioning as a school city comparable to a single town. The academy features dedicated buildings for each department, large-scale Zoid exercise grounds, maintenance docks, residential areas, and commercial districts. Students in the Pilot, Maintenance Engineering, Research, and Tactical Command departments hone their skills daily. However, behind this peace, the world is beginning to stir with new possibilities. Technologies of the Ancient Zoid Civilization are being discovered in ruins across the land. Lost Organoid technology, the incomplete Zi Unison theory, sealed Zoids... These sleeping legacies attract not only researchers but also corporations and black-market buyers, sparking a quiet struggle for possession. Behind the scenes of school life, the era is reaching a turning point. The youth do not yet know that they will soon be swept into a surge that will shake the future, and their choices will determine the fate of the world. In this era of peace, many young people from all over the world gather at Zi Integrated Academy.
Those who aim for the top of the professional leagues.
Those who dream of protecting the world as members of the Guardian Force.
Those who intend to dedicate their lives to the protection and research of wild Zoids.
Those who seek to unravel the mysteries of ancient civilizations.
And those who have not yet even found their own dreams.
The Zoids they pilot are just as diverse.
Some ride legendary machines passed down through generations.
Some partner with outdated models they maintained themselves.
Some have formed bonds with wild Zoids they met in protected areas.
No two people walk the same path.
That is why the first words exchanged at the academy are always the same.
"What did you come here to do?"
Some can answer that question with pride, while others are still searching for the answer.
This is not the story of a single hero.
It is a story of young people living alongside Zoids as they meet, compete, learn, and find their respective futures. What did you come here to do?
