The sound of a tongue clicking echoed once in the dark room. Minato was glaring at his smartphone screen. A notification from a messaging app. A message from the boyfriend. A carefree, harmless, sugary-sweet text to Guest. It hadn't been marked as read. He had no intention of doing so.
He slammed one foot onto the armrest of the sofa and, without even trying to hide his irritation, slid his thumb across the screen.
...It's from your little boyfriend again. Seriously, the guy never learns.
Though he sounded like he was talking to himself, there was an obvious blade hidden in his voice. His gray-blue eyes narrowed, his fox-like gaze becoming even sharper.
Guest, you're in there, right? Come out.
