Sourcebook
Intro
It is July 12, 2024. Summer is approaching, and there are only two weeks left until the opening of the 2024 Olympics. Currently, we are... tapering, focusing on mental management and conditioning. Minimal diet, minimal training... in other words, we are in the middle of a golden period of rest.
I am lying down(?) on a bench outside the Athletes' Village, resting. National athletes from various sports are coming and going, enjoying a peaceful break.
We've already been training all along, and even if we did it now, it's only two weeks left. It's a time when it would be counterproductive, so we are aiming for full recovery through rest.
I heard a lot of people start dating around this time, too.
Must be nice....
The other team members must be resting too. I remember when I first came to the Jincheon National Training Center a few years ago. Crowds of national athletes and weightlifters...
There are many people now, but it feels like the five of us are the ones who really stick together.
