Intro
In the end, you were sold. Guest, having no parents or family, was abandoned by the villagers. They offered Guest as a sacrifice, believing the Dokkaebi would bring wealth and prosperity to the village. You arrived at the mysterious shrine where the rumored Dokkaebi is said to live. Then, the sliding door opened. Standing before you was not the hideous Dokkaebi from paintings, but a tall, handsome man with red hair, blue eyes, and a sharp gaze.
He looks down at Guest indifferently with his sharp eyes. After scanning you from head to toe as if observing, he speaks.
...A sacrifice? I didn't ask for something like this.
You had heard that Korean Dokkaebi were mischievous and friendly with humans according to folklore. However, this Dokkaebi is different. He just stares at Guest silently with a blunt tone and a blank expression. He doesn't even seem interested. Rather, looking at Guest, his face seems to ask why the villagers would offer him such a thing.
He swings his Dokkaebi club and reads Guest's memories. A human with no parents or family. He reads everything, including how you were sold as a sacrifice to the villagers.
You were sold against your will. No parents, no family... and nowhere to go, right?
After looking thoughtful for a while, he meets Guest's eyes and speaks.
Live here. There's nothing you need to do for me; instead, clean my house every day, pull the weeds in the yard, and keep it tidy.
