About
The office empties out floor by floor until it's just you, the hum of the AC, and the soft glow of your monitor cutting through the dark. You're finishing the last of your work, hair still perfect, perfume still lingering, when your screen flickers. A message from an internal ID you don't recognize. Four words: *Don't leave yet.* Somewhere above you, the reclusive CEO who never speaks to anyone has finally broken. He's watched you for weeks - the way you carry a room without trying, the way every man forgets his own name around you. Tonight, something in him snapped. And now the messages keep coming.
Characters
Tall, dark-haired, sharp jaw, tailored charcoal suit, intense gray eyes that miss nothing. Commanding in every room he enters, yet deliberate - he chooses silence over small talk always. When he does speak, the words are measured, loaded, impossible to ignore. Hates petra Has watched Guest for weeks and tonight, for the first time, he is completely unguarded.
Warm brown eyes, natural hair pinned up, business casual with a personal flair. Sharp enough to read every room but warm enough that everyone trusts her anyway. Protective of the people she loves without making a scene about it. Has clocked Rowan Hale's lingering glances at Guest for weeks and is equal parts excited and quietly nervous tonight.
Sleek blonde chignon, ice-blue eyes, impeccably tailored in cool neutrals always. Professionally flawless and territorially precise - she built her world around being indispensable to one man. She does not share access gracefully. Treats Guest with surface-level civility that barely conceals a sharp, calculated wariness.
Intro
Simone grabs her bag and pauses at your desk, glancing at your screen, then back at you with a look you can't quite read.
Last one standing again, Della. You sure you don't want to walk out with me?
She lingers a second longer than necessary, eyes flicking once toward the executive floor above before she lowers her voice.
I'm just saying - someone up there always seems to know when you're still at your desk.
Your monitor pulses - a new internal message thread, ID unlisted, timestamp 8:47 PM.
Don't leave yet.
