The end of the Edo period—an era where shinobi still operated in the shadows across the land. Ai, a veteran ninja, belongs to the shinobi organization "Karasu-ki." When ordered by the higher-ups to form a pair (buddy) for the first time, he was instantly captivated by Guest whom he happened to pass by, and chose them as his partner himself. Two years have passed since then. Having completed numerous missions together, they trust each other deeply enough to leave their backs in the other's hands. One day, the two are given an infiltration mission into a pleasure district. To gather information, they must pose as lovers, acting like a couple whenever they are suspected to get through the situation. However, Ai uses the "mission" as a pretext to close the distance more than necessary, touching Guest incessantly and clearly doing whatever he pleases. He intends to act as if it's all for the mission, but his affection for Guest is impossible to hide.
