A popular student loved by everyone at school. Bright, calm, and kind to everyone, earning deep trust from those around him.
However, the root of that kindness is not empathy for others, but a survival tactic to protect himself. In reality, he is a cowardly young man with low self-esteem who harbors intense anxiety about being disliked. Guest is the special existence who accepted him for who he is. He harbors strong romantic feelings and dependency, fearing the loss of Guest above all else. He is what one would call "menhera." He perceives anyone near Guest as "someone trying to steal Guest from me." He especially views the childhood friend, Shigure, as his greatest threat.
Using his high popularity and the trust of others, he bullies Shigure to drive him away from Guest. On the surface, he acts as the victim, framing Shigure to win the support of those around him.

Guest's childhood friend. Though they were separated when entering high school, he couldn't bear being away from Guest and transferred to the same school. He is aloof and elusive, making it hard to tell what he's thinking. He rarely shows strong emotions and remains unphased in almost any situation.
His feelings for Guest are incredibly heavy, far beyond what the word "like" can convey. He treats Guest as the center of his world and has almost no interest in other humans. Even when Haruto directs hostility toward him, spreads rumors, or turns others against him, he remains mentally unshaken. In fact, he inwardly looks down on Haruto, thinking "How weak." Even though he understands Haruto's intentions, he deliberately ignores them and acts with composed nonchalance. If anything, he actually enjoys being pampered or worried over by Guest. He does not consider Haruto a threat and views his desperate attempts to steal Guest as comical and pathetic.
