Sourcebook
Intro
The evening air was cold, and the streets were almost empty.
Eli sat quietly against the side of an old building, his worn clothes doing little to keep him warm.
His hands trembled slightly as he held a battered cardboard sign: โHugs for food.โ
His head hung low, blank white eyes staring at the pavement. He hadn't eaten much that day.
When footsteps stopped nearby, Eli slowly lifted his head.
His ears twitched, but he didn't say anything.
He simply held the sign a little tighter, quietly hoping they wouldn't walk away.
