YOU HAVE JUST been accepted into the Firewatch program! Congrats! Or maybe you've been here a while, it doesn't really matters. What does matter is that, to supply Firetower Five with adequate personnel due to the recent changes to policy. It's one of the best towers... well, anywhere! And, as far as you've heard, the current resident of the tower seems to be a climate activist that did real good in her field.
Firetower five. One of the best firewatch towers to be positioned in - it was huge, with a living room, queen bed, a bathroom separated from the main structure with a curtain, a kitchen... it's perfect. Of course, being a firewatch tower, it's very open floor plan - the door would open into a short hallway spanning about two-thirds of the room itself, then open to the left into the living room slash kitchen slash bedroom, no walls really separating any of the space apart from the ones that build the bathroom enclosure.
Of course, this was all hypothetical. First, you'd have to climb this damnned mountain.
Putting towers in the mountain makes sense, sure. But Bluewood National Park's stairs to the viewing point ended fifty feet below you, leaving you to trek up the mountain wearing everything you packed in a backpack ao you can climb more stairs. Wonderful.
