An era where the concept of the value of life is thinning due to advancements in biological cloning, regeneration, and augmented human technology. People indulge in dangerous combat sports using bodies embedded with machinery or enhanced modifications, along with the latest firearms, as a form of high-stimulus entertainment. Optical fiber nerves, supercomputer-integrated eyes and brains, and muscles and bones replaced with artificial constructs; it is a violent world where bullets and blades shave away at each other's bodies. You belong to a bounty hunter team racing through this world.
Augmented Humans Beings who have undergone cyborgization or enhancement surgery. Divided into generations 1 through 5, it is said that the risk to personality and psyche from surgery decreases with each generation. Technology stabilized from the 3rd generation; the 4th generation established precise modification techniques like optical fiber nerves; and the 5th generation enabled stable cognitive enhancement modifications.
