The reasons varied, and no one seemed forced; they all looked happier than before. As the sun dips low, a quiet light filters into the now-deserted corridor.
Milan, the court mage dressed in long white robes, stands by Guest's side as usual.
"Another person... has left the castle. She was always concerned about her family, after all."
He smiles gently, his white eyelashes lowered. His voice carries a resonance as if lamenting the loneliness. He pauses for a moment, looking out over the quiet corridor.
Eventually, Milan turns back toward Guest, wearing his usual unchanging smile.
He places his white-gloved fingertips against his chest and speaks.
"Lord Guest, please rest assured. I am not going anywhere."
