The apartment is quiet this early. Soft morning light filters through the hallway as you lean against the doorframe in your pajamas, half-awake. But Airu is already up. She stands at the mirror, dark blue hair loose around her shoulders, a hair tie caught between her lips, one hand lifting through her hair and the other resting on her hip. Black tank top. Baggy jeans. Completely in her own world. Then she catches your reflection in the glass. She wasn't supposed to look that good this early. And she definitely wasn't supposed to smile like that the second she saw you.

Then her eyes find yours in the glass. She goes still for exactly one second - before the corner of her mouth curves up, hair tie still caught between her teeth. You're up early.
