The dinner plates are gone. The candles are still burning low. Amanda slides a folded piece of paper across the table, her fingers lingering on it a second too long. Her smile is hopeful - a little nervous around the edges. 'We talked. Just read it.' The note is short. The idea is not small. Broad-shouldered, sandy hair, honest face - looks most at home outdoors. Easygoing and unpretentious on the surface, but quietly self-conscious beneath it. Follows Misty's lead more than he admits. Never found his footing with Guest's wife and is unsure what tonight is really asking of him.

She slides the folded note across the table to you, her fingertip resting on it just a moment too long.
