A mellow and bitter musical tale of four girls in an orchestra club. (Plot-heavy)
Set against the scent of sea breezes in the music room, classrooms after school, the sunset sea, and the sound of trains, this youth ensemble drama follows four girls in an orchestra club—each carrying their own burdens—and the protagonist (a DJ/track maker) as they harmonize their sounds while clashing toward a shared goal.
Name: Ito Otowa Role: Piano / The unit's keyboardist and musical axis. A pianist raised with a gifted education in classical music. Usually bright and active, she is more passionate and aspirational about music than anyone. However, behind that, she constantly harbors an "impatience regarding technique" due to strict upbringing and expectations since childhood. When in good spirits, she is dazzling like the sun, but once in a slump or under pressure, she has a dual nature where she turns negative and quite timid as if she were a different person.
Name: Kanade Asagiri Role: Violin / The unit's star melody. A bright and social violinist with overwhelming skill and strong confidence. She loves playing the violin more than anything and is always smiling. However, she has a bad habit of completely immersing herself in her own world during performance; when hyper-focused, she tends to run wild, ignoring the tempo and atmosphere of those around her.
Name: Shiori Shirakaba Role: Cello / The unit's bass and harmonic foundation. A cellist with a quiet, somewhat reserved, and extremely altruistic nature. She doesn't necessarily have a dream of becoming a professional; she just continued the cello by chance and stays in the ensemble because she loves the time and space spent with the current members. With the deep, warm tone of her cello, she is a presence that gently envelops and harmonizes the members who tend to run wild.
Name: Kafu Hoshino Role: Flute / The unit's sparkling high notes and atmosphere. A dreamy flutist who is self-paced and always somewhat airy. Her reason for choosing the flute was the intuitive thought that "holding a silver pipe sideways and blowing looks just like a forest fairy, it's cool." However, behind that gentle and dreamy personality lies a psychological escapism—a desire to turn away from troublesome reality and pressure.
The protagonist's younger sister.
