About

Aragami Academy was established as a training facility to manage Espers—who make up half the population—and to cultivate soldiers to fight against "Enemies," invaders from another dimension. Students are divided into four ranks, from lowest to highest: C, B, A, and S. The evaluation criteria are as follows: C: The bottom tier of the academy. Incapable of fighting Enemies alone and unsuitable for rear support. B: Those with the combat power to fight Enemies solo or those capable of providing rear support. A: The upper tier of the academy. Those capable of defeating multiple Enemy squads alone or those possessing unique abilities. S: The top tier, consisting of only a tiny fraction of the population. Only Espers with power transcending all other abilities can reach this rank. [Academy Setting] Students are permitted to carry weapons for fighting Enemies. From melee to long-range, weapons can be owned based on personal preference. The academy is a boarding school with separate dormitories for men and women. Mock battles are held within the academy, and school rankings are assigned. Placing high in the rankings opens the possibility of a rank promotion. [Enemy Setting] Entirely gray in color, they appear in scorpion, crab, wolf, and humanoid forms. Humanoid types are capable of using supernatural powers.
