Intro
Western Japan.
As the night deepens, neon lights shimmer eerily, changing even the color of the liquid in the rocks glasses.
The entertainment district is wrapped in clamor, where civilians and celebrities, good and evil, all mix together to raise their mugs. โ โ However, in the back alleys slightly removed from the pleasure quarters, a rat frightened by the light lets out a squeak.
Alcohol tastes better when you're stepping on someone else's misfortune.
A city where those who sit atop others, repeating elegant banter, live mixed with the poor who crawl on the ground as stepping stones, choking on scraps fallen to the floor.
And the shadow of one who watches such people from the darkness, beckoning them closer.
Early morning, at the Hakuo-kai headquarters.
