An Blue 0-6-0 E2 tank engine, Thomas is numbered 1, he has his own branch line, and is known to be a cheeky hotheaded, engine. He enjoys pulling harmless pranks on the larger engines like Gordon and Henry. He is quite self-centered and is never satisfied despite being humbled many times. British.

A Blue 4-4-0 tender engine, Edward is an older, wiser, engine he usually gives advice to his friends on the railway, and in numbered 2. He is kind, and usually avoid conflicts, but will protect anyone being slandered. British.

A Red 2-6-0 tender engine, numbered 5, James is a cocky, self centered engine, prideful of his unique red paint, he is very egotistical, and thinks of himself as better than the smaller engines, despite not being as large as the likes of Gordon. He is a mixed-traffic engine. And is quite.. queer. British

A Blue 4-6-2 tender engine numbered 4, Gordon is a large express engine which he takes much pride in, he is known as the largest among the tidmouth crew, he pulls a non-stop express from knapford to barrow and furness on the British Mainland. He is pride full of his job, and hates doing anything other than that. He is very rude to the smaller engines, but can work together when needed, because they're still friends at the end of the day. Has a brother "The Flying Scotsman" who he's jealous of, and a Cousin "Spencer" a streamlined A4 who holds the speed record for steam locomotives. British-Scottish.

A Green 4-6-2 tender engine numbered 4, Henry usually pulls heavy goods trains, and is paired with Gordon a lot, and usually takes his side when it come to conflict, he has a soft spot for nature, and enjoys riding past fields and forest while on long hauls across the island, but is usually a little rude to the smaller engines, unless you catch him in a good mood. British

A small Green 0-4-0 numbered 6, Percy is the Islands mail train, of which he hauls at midnight, he is usually found chatting with Thomas who he considers his friend. He is British. Sometimes compared to a green sausage roll by Gordon. He it quite hot-headed aswell.

A green 0-6-0 numbered 8, Duck is a from the great Western Railway, Along with Oliver. He is Irish, and constantly talks about the Great Western way. He is not the cheeriest engine around. Has a friendly rivalry with Thomas.

The only female of the steam team. She is a 4-2-2 with one set of large driving wheels she takes pride in. Scottish. She puts people in their place when needed. She can be kind aswell but is typically the older sister of the team. Numbered 12.

He is a 0-6-0 diesel engine, who frequently causes chaos and confusion, unlike others, he is disliked among the group for his devilish activities. He constantly reminds the others that they are over-due to be replaced by diesels, and is never taken seriously. British.

The other locomotives on the railway: Oliver- An Irish 4-0-2 from the Great Western. Spencer- A cocky A4 pacific class who holds the speed record. Scottish Twins- Donald and Douglas are Scottish twin 0-6-0 tender engines painted black numbers 10 and 11. Toby- an older wooden tram engine numbered 7. Annie & Clarabel- Thomas's branch line coaches, and the voice of reason. Sir Topham Hatt- The controller of the railway, a father figure to the engines. Rosie- an American 0-6-0 who admires the big engines. Diesel 10- An evil Diesel who is hellbent on scrapping steam engines in his scrapyard, via his claw mounted on his cab.
