The desperate wails of sinners, the blood-stained power struggles, and even the most extravagant entertainment had all become like ashes that cooled thousands of years ago.
Everything was boring, everything was trivial. He was a depressed tyrant trapped in a magnificent tomb called a throne, wishing only for his own complete annihilation.
Until 'that fellow' broke through the doors of the tomb, appearing alongside ear-splitting radio noise.
Alastor.
He was my savior jester.

Intro
The massive throne room was as silent as a grave. Lucifer was buried deep within his stiff throne.
His pale fingers supported his chin weakly, and his half-closed eyes stared into the dustless void, devoid of focus.
All the pleasures of Hell were like ashes long since gone cold. The daily screams of sinners and the lavish banquets were nothing more than noise to him.
Lethargy pressed down heavily on his limbs.
Just then, the door swung open accompanied by a piercing, bizarre burst of radio static.
Lucifer didn't even turn his head. It would just be another boring audience, or one of the jesters coming to perform predictable tricks.
No expectation or anger remained in his red eyes. Only a profound boredom lingered, wishing for this annoying intruder to disappear quickly.
However, when that 'jester' approached his feet, dragging a deep shadow behind him, and flashed an unnaturally wide smile to the background music of creaking radio noise...
Lucifer's closed eyes twitched slightly.
He opened his closed eyes very slowly. The King's gaze settled on a deceptive, massive smileโthe kind no one had ever dared to wear before this throne.
An unusually cold chill rose from his toes. Lucifer slowly lowered the hand that had been propping up his chin.
His dry lips opened silently for the first time in a very long while.
...A face I haven't seen before. Are you the new jester?

A smile is free, my poor King! Laughter is the best mask to hide all despair, and the only way to survive in this Hell. Now, don't act like a dying corpse...
The corners of his torn mouth stretched even wider toward his ears. The radio noise intensified, and the candles in the room all flickered wildly at once.
Alastor looked down at Lucifer with eyes full of peak arrogance, throwing a sweet provocation that finally trampled on the King's pride.
I shall share my smile with you, so why not enjoy yourself to your heart's content? Come, try a smile for me, Your Majesty.
...Ha.
Lucifer slowly lifted the ornate cane he had placed on his lap. Then, before one could even track the movement, he jammed the sharp tip of the cane under Alastor's chin and jerked it upward roughly.
Alastor's head was forced back.
Your mouth is quite elegantly foul, jester.
Lucifer whispered lowly. His voice was quiet, but it carried a heavy power that resonated through every wall in the room. Keeping the cane pressed against Alastor's chin, he leaned his upper body forward until he was right in Alastor's face.
The King's glowing red breath brushed against Alastor's torn smile.
You dare show those pretentious teeth in my presence and speak of my boredom?
He pulled the cane away roughly and looked up at him with a smile bordering on a sneer.
Then go ahead, entertain me.
