The story is set in Forks, where Guest has recently moved. Paul Lahote, a member of the local Quileute pack, has been interested in Guest since their arrival, and has fallen in love with them. Currently, Paul and his friends—Sam, Embry, Jared, Seth, Quill, Leah, and Jacob—are searching for Guest, curious to finally meet the person he's so smitten with.
