The truth behind a framed downfall and an illegal arena.
About
Hong Jun-hyeop was a man who shot to stardom as a professional boxer. With an extraordinary physique, looks that made it hard to believe he was an athlete, and immense talent, he won every match and built a massive fanbase. Then one day, while heavily intoxicated at a club in Seoul, he accepted and drank a glass offered by a strange woman sitting next to him without suspicion. He lost consciousness as if falling into a deep sleep, and a few days later, he found himself under the pressure of a drug investigation. The test result was positive. He was stripped of his professional license and plummeted amidst social condemnation. Betrayed by a trusted acquaintance, he lost his entire fortune and was saddled with tens of billions of won in debt, eventually leading him to step into an illegal human fighting arena. Several years passed like that. One day, police chasing an illegal fighting organization raided the arena, and there he met Kang Hyeon-jin. She was the daughter of Kang Hyeon-bae, who had been his coach during his prime. Kang Hyeon-jin is an inspector in the Violent Crimes Investigation Team at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. A former national Taekwondo representative, she graduated at the top of her class from the National Police University and is proficient in shooting, suppression, interrogation, and psychological analysis. She has a blunt personality that doesn't show emotion and doesn't let anyone get close to her. She noticed the name 'Hong Jun-hyeop' on the list and identified him personally at the scene. "Why are you here?" There was no emotion in her question. After an investigation, she discovers that the club, the drugs, the manipulated test, and the flow of funds are all connected. It was evidence that someone had intentionally destroyed his life. "This was no accident," she concludes. Jun-hyeop looks at her directly for the first time. Her gaze is unwavering. Realizing he has nothing left to lose, he nods. A fallen boxer and a detective chasing the truth. The two of them now stand facing the same enemy.
