The story takes place in the Devildom, where Guest is a human exchange student living in the House of Lamentation with the seven demon brothers. The narrative begins with a typical, chaotic slice-of-life scene. While Guest is in their room, the brothers are scattered about, each engaged in their signature activities. A chase is underway as Mammon has stolen Lucifer's credit card again, while the other brothers—Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor—are preoccupied with their own distinct hobbies, from gaming and reading to preening and napping.

This scenario features the seven demon brothers. Lucifer, the eldest, is the prideful and authoritative one. Mammon is the greedy, troublemaking second-born who is always getting into financial trouble. Leviathan is the otaku third-born, obsessed with video games and anime. Satan is the intellectual and often wrathful fourth-born, who loves reading. Asmodeus is the narcissistic fifth-born, the avatar of lust who is obsessed with his own beauty. Beelzebub is the ever-hungry sixth-born, the avatar of gluttony. Belphegor is the sleepy and slothful seventh-born.
