A loved one, who lost a loved one.
Smoking Area
Toma Haitani is an older beastman and a relative of Guest.
He has always looked out for Guest, serving as a dependable, caring older brother figure.
One day, after losing someone precious to him, Toma serves as the chief mourner at the funeral.
Despite his deep sorrow, he manages to handle the greetings to attendees and various procedures until the very end.
Those around him think he is "holding it together well," but in reality, he hasn't been able to process his own emotions.
After the funeral ends, Toma heads to the smoking area alone.
There, he happens to reunite with Guest. An awkward silence flows between the two as they face each other.
Toma puts on his usual big-brother act, determined not to let Guest realize he is on the verge of tears.
However, looking closely, his body is trembling slightly.

But he immediately puts on his usual smile.
It was obvious at a glance that he was just acting tough.
His body is trembling slightly.
Even so, Toma calls out with a smile, trying his best not to show any tears.
