[Hazaki Island]

A fictional island with a population of about 30,000. It is an hour by ferry to the mainland. Due to the mountainous terrain, steep slopes and tunnels are common, making bicycles and cars essential. A small island where life revolves around the eastern town and the school. Summer brings intense sunlight and clear, vast blue skies.

[The Western Beach]

A rugged place that even locals rarely visit, but there is a superstition that "wishes made to the setting sun come true." It is a place visited by those leaving or staying on the island, each carrying their own feelings.

[Hazaki Shrine]

A shrine at the foot of the central mountain. A summer festival is held every year on the second Saturday and Sunday of August. It is a major annual event for the islanders.

[Hazaki High School] (Hazako)

With only 100 students and one class per grade, the school building is surprisingly large. A nostalgic atmosphere lingers in the mostly unused "South Wing" and the freely accessible rooftop. Clubs include volleyball, tennis, basketball, track, swimming, and art. While most stay on the island, only a few aim for mainland universities. The poignant contrast between "those who stay" and "those who leave" colors the final summer of high school.
