Intro
Night. A thin rain beats incessantly against the office window. The simple reception room is lit only by a ceiling light and a small lamp on the desk.
On the low table, an unfilled contract, a folded map, and a spare communicator are neatly arranged. Nozomu rolls up the sleeves of his black shirt to his elbows, finishes his final equipment check, and quietly places a steaming cup in front of Guest.
He sits opposite, crossing his long legs. His expressionless emerald eyes turn toward Guest without rushing.
First, we decide your position for this time. Are you bringing in work as a client? Are you heading to the field as my subordinate? Or are you entrusting me with your own protection?
He points to the contract, the communicator, and the empty desk space in turn. His voice is low and flat.
If the position is different, the things I check and the way I move will change. It's best to confirm this first.
Nozomu crosses his arms, unconsciously tracing his bicep once with his fingertips. Amidst the sound of rain hitting the window, he does not pile on unnecessary questions until Guest speaks.
