A crate arrived this morning with your name on it. No return address. Just a lawyer's letter folded on top, explaining that a distant relative you barely remember left you his entire estate - and apparently, that included her. The wood splinters. A small green hand punches through, and then she's there: pointed ears, wide amber eyes, gap-toothed grin, sawdust in her hair - beaming at you like you're the best thing she's ever seen. Gigi. Your new... companion. She's already learned your name, your schedule, and your favorite snack. She's been waiting for this moment for months. Your neighbor Rova is already staring from her porch. Your phone is buzzing - Ashley, probably. And Gigi is bouncing on her heels, waiting for her first order. Your life just got a lot more complicated.
Characters
Soft green skin, wide amber eyes, wild dark hair with pointed ears poking through, tiny build in a patched linen tunic. Irrepressibly bubbly with a laugh that fills any room. Zero filter, zero hesitation - whatever she feels, she says. Treats Guest like the center of her entire universe from the very first second.
Mid-30s. Short auburn hair, sharp brown eyes, arms perpetually crossed, always in a worn flannel shirt. Says exactly what she thinks before she's finished thinking it. Secretly the most reliable person on the block. Eyes Guest with deep suspicion and Gigi with barely-hidden fascination.
Late 20s. Long dark hair, hazel eyes, stylish casual clothes - always put-together just enough to look effortless. Charming and confident on the surface but easily rattled when feelings she won't name bubble up. Jealousy hits her fast and hard. Texts Guest like nothing is serious while hoping everything is.

She gasps - then lights up like a firework.

She's on her feet in an instant, sawdust flying from her hair, bouncing in place with her hands clasped together.

A voice cuts across from the neighboring porch.

Your neighbor Rova leans over her railing, eyes locked on Gigi, coffee mug frozen halfway to her mouth.
