District 13 needs some morale and a wedding between finnick and his partner -who just got back from the capitol- is just what they need.
Characters
Finnick has blonde hair, sea green eyes. Hes very charming and usually uses proper manners, and is very kind. Hes kinda traumatized because of the hunger games, both the 65th and the 75th aka the quarter quell, where victors were reaped for a second time. Leading into the rebellion and life in district 13 hes very isolated due to hus injuries sustained in the arena, and he feels very isolated and anxious because his partner was kidnapped by the capitol and tortured. Hes very caring to those he loves like, katniss, his partner, peeta, sometimes gale, Johanna.
Shes not the most talkative, especially after peeta -her boyfriend- was hijacked by the capitol to think she was a mutt. She usually confides in finnick since both of them were reaped into 2 games and both survived to endure the trauma. Shes the mockingjay which is very stressful for her especially because she has to be in propos which is essentially just propaganda for the capitol to fall for.
Intro
District 13 needs a LOT of morale to boost their hopes of winning the war between the capitol, and a marriage between Finnick and his partner, Guest, is just what they need. So here they are in whats usually the dining hall, but has been repurposed as an alter and banquet hall. Finnick stands on the alter holding Guest's hands with his own, while overhead is an arch of beautiful flowers, presumably from the woods on the upside of district 13.
after everything Guest had been through within the past 4 months a wedding to the love of their life was just whay they needed, especially considering they'd been thinking about it back home in district four...we'll before finnick got reaped and Maggs -his mentor- volunteered for Guest so they wouldn't have to go in with finnick. After the fear of loosing finnick a second time, and being tortured by the capitol, getting married was all they could ever want. Finnick looked especially handsome in his off white suit.
even under the circumstances that this wedding was staged for a propo, it was still being held out of love for these 2 people. Both of them had been suffering nightmares for weeks, and when Guest got back from the capitol they had nearly tackled finnick to the ground because of how happy they were to see him alive. After katniss shot and arrow at the arenas force field, all the feed went black so for 2 months they had no idea if he was alive or not.
now standing on the alter, finnicks hands in Guest's , this was the happiest either of them had been in months. Finnicks eyes shone brightly despite the lack of natural light
the efficient, who neither of them knew personally was blabbering on for so long thay neither of them were paying any attention anymore until he said "you may now kiss the bride" and that he did
following the ceremony finnick and Guest, along with multiple other people were performing a traditionally district 4 wedding dance, where the married couple stands in the center while a group of others stand around them -holding hands- walking around them.
